ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday, July 8th, a worker trapped in a flooded below ground vault near a water tower in Comstock Township was rescued by Comstock Fire & Rescue after an above ground attendant saved him and firefighters quickly extinguished a fire at a suppression pump while the Kalamazoo Water Department shut off a water main that led to a boil water advisory. - ➤ Police in Kalamazoo responded to the Okinawan Karate Academy on South Westnedge Ave on Wednesday night when a light-colored SUV crashed into the building shortly before 11 p.m.—it is not known if anyone was injured or what caused the crash. WWMT

- ➤ Hot n' Now, the iconic drive-thru that started in Kalamazoo, will expand beyond its last Sturgis location as Gun Lake Investments and owner Jeff Konczak plan to open restaurants in Wayland this summer and in Alpena in October.
