- ➤ Moonlight Madness returns Friday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. in downtown Kalamazoo for its third annual holiday shopping night; local shops, restaurants, and pop-ups offer deals, giveaways, and winter cocktails + seasonal treats in a community celebration. WWMT
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Michigan’s minimum wage will increase from $12.48 to $13.73 on Jan. 1, 2026 — the final step before it reaches $15 per hour by Jan. 1, 2027. WWMT
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Metro will add extra buses on routes 1, 9, and 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, running from Monday, Dec. 15 through Sunday, Dec. 28 — the service aims to ease travel during busy retail hours. WKZO
- ➤ Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety launched a YouTube series called Rolling Sixes to show daily life at fire station 6 on Oakland Drive. Three episodes have debuted and three more will air early 2026. WWMT
