- ➤ Kalamazoo will host a holiday tree lighting and Holly Jolly Trolley event at Bronson Park on Friday, Nov. 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. The festivities will include musical performances, ice sculpting, craft activities for kids and visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus — South Street will be closed for the event and the trolley will offer free rides downtown. - ➤ KzFV revived the historic Michigan News Agency for its final Black Friday sale after longtime owner Dean Hauck passed away — the store will offer 50% off merchandise on November 28th and 29th from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with proceeds set to fund future development including a new mural. MLive

- ➤ Otsego Public Schools removed a book with gay characters from kindergarten and did not add two books about Islam to first grade reading materials, following district guidelines to keep content age-appropriate—ensuring materials support student learning.
