COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Families in Kalamazoo celebrated the start of the holiday season on (November 22nd) at the 62nd annual Maple Hill Holiday Parade; the event featured community groups, colorful floats, and marching bands while raising funds for Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes. Hundreds of locals enjoyed the festive procession and its promise to support families in need.  MLive
  • The City of Kalamazoo will host its Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony this Friday at Bronson Park from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The park will be lit around 6:00 p.m. with music, dance performances, kid-friendly craft and photo tents, food vendors, and free Holly Jolly Trolley rides running later in the season—continuing a tradition that dates back over 90 years.  WKZO

SPORTS NEWS

  • Nearly 2,000 skaters from 138 teams competed in the 25th annual Kalamazoo Kick-Off Classic over Saturday and Sunday at the Wings Event Center—hosted by the Greater Kalamazoo Skating Association—bringing over $2 million to the local economy, and organizers plan to secure a new venue as the center faces changes in Spring 2028.  WWMT
