- ➤ Nearly 1,121 Consumers Energy customers in the South Westnedge neighborhood lost power yesterday due to an equipment issue. Most power has been restored, but fewer than 100 customers remain without power — full restoration is estimated to complete tonight between 10:45 p.m. and 2 a.m. WWMT

- ➤ Kalamazoo's Kick-Off Classic will celebrate 25 years of synchronized skating on November 22 and 23 at Wings Event Center with 134 teams and nearly 2,000 skaters competing. The Greater Kalamazoo Skating Association is working with Discover Kalamazoo to find a new home for the event as Wings West and the current venue are scheduled to close soon. WWMT
- ➤ Downtown Kalamazoo will be a wintry wonderland this weekend as the Maple Hill Holiday Parade celebrates its 62nd year with a record-breaking lineup starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday—roads will close at 10:30 a.m. to clear the parade route and make way for festive activities like free Santa photos at the mall and museum.
