GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Today, a ribbon cutting ceremony will kick off the new multipurpose building at the Kalamazoo Farmers Market at 3:00 p.m. with remarks from Kzoo Parks Director Patrick McVerry, City Manager Jim Ritsema and Mayor David Anderson— the 8900 square foot facility will host event rentals, serve as the main afterschool site and launch the Winter Market on December 6.  WKZO
  • Today, the City of Kalamazoo is hosting an open house meeting at Milwood Elementary School to share design details for street safety projects that will improve conditions along Cork Street, Lovers Lane, and Portage Street. A second meeting will be held on December 2 at Edison Neighborhood Association from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. — city staff will answer questions from residents and business owners.  WKZO
