- ➤ A plaque honoring Revolutionary War soldier Thomas Campbell — also known as Camel — was unveiled Saturday at Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners by members of the Joseph B. Westnedge Chapter Sons of the American Revolution. Born into slavery around 1760, Campbell was offered freedom when he joined the Continental Army and fought at Valley Forge and the Battle of Monmouth before dying in 1849. WWMT
