- ➤ Several Kalamazoo County communities have set trick-or-treat hours for Halloween with times ranging from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Residents in Parchment, Schoolcraft, Mattawan, Vicksburg, Three Rivers, and downtown Otsego will follow these hours on Oct. 31—others should check with their neighborhood associations. - ➤ Kalamazoo's 45th annual Model Train Show and Sale is set for Sunday, November 2 at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center at 2900 Lake Street from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.—vendors will sell new and used model railroad items and local clubs will operate exhibits—and admission is $6 for adults while kids 12 and under enter free. - ➤ Greensky Bluegrass will perform two 25th anniversary shows at Wings Event Center on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1—featuring special guests and selections from their new album XXV. The band, which began during a local Halloween house party, will honor its Kalamazoo roots while sharing the stage with Sam Bush, Holly Bowling and Lindsay Lou. MLive

- ➤ Kalamazoo plans to transform the downtown 'Spaghetti Bowl' — a far west end near local campuses — with new street designs and multi-story development to reconnect the area.
