- ➤ Feeding Broncos—a student-run group at Western Michigan University—launched its President’s Challenge fundraiser to raise $50,000 for meal programs for food-insecure students on the Western Campus. The group has served over 3,300 dinners since Feb. 3 and now asks community members to donate or volunteer. WWMT

- ➤ The Palisades nuclear plant in Covert Township received its first shipment of 68 fuel assemblies as Holtec International prepares to restart the facility — the delivery came two months after the Nuclear Regulatory Commission reauthorized it in late August. The plant had been shut down since May 2022 after Holtec purchased it to decommission and now aims to become the first U.S. nuclear plant to resume operations. WKZO

- ➤ WMed received an anonymous $1.52M gift on Tuesday, Oct 21 that will fund the recruitment of three child and adolescent psychiatrists to expand local mental health services—responding to community concerns about care access.
