  • Last Saturday, community members gathered at West Hills Athletic Club for the 11th annual Serve for Kids fundraiser to support local youth programs for children affected by trauma, abuse, and poverty. The event featured pickleball and tennis tournaments, a silent auction, and a dinner program + organizers aimed to raise $90,000 to fund services for 2026.  WWMT

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Little Pistol Farms in Oshtemo said summer rain helped pumpkin crops grow well this fall — the farm planted pumpkins in early June and worked with MSU Extension — resulting in two dozen varieties available for harvest.  WWMT

CULTURE NEWS

  • Vintage in the Zoo held its final event at the Kalamazoo Farmers Market building on October 12 — featuring over 50 vendors selling curated vintage items, antiques, and handmade goods while local food providers served specialties; the outdoor market ran from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dan Steely spun vinyl — adding a lively soundtrack to the day.  WWMT
