  • Canadiana Fest will return this Saturday in downtown Kalamazoo with its third annual celebration of Canadian culture at Arcadia Creek Festival Place. The festival will run from 3:30 p.m. — 10:00 p.m., featuring music, a beer garden, family activities and live sports.  WKZO

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Kalamazoo's vice mayor, Jeanne Hess, said the city should be known as Education City to reflect its lifelong learning culture amid dropping math and reading scores—she plans to propose the nickname at the next city commission meeting with support from local educational leaders.  WKZO
