- ➤ Walmart is recalling several products including freeze-dried fruit, vodka seltzer packs, chicken sausage and turkey bacon due to risks like potential Listeria contamination and mislabeled allergen warnings—stores nationwide, including local locations, will remove these items immediately. MLive
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Kalamazoo authorities arraigned former WMU exchange student Al Allan De Los Santos Mueses—accused of assaulting a fellow student in his apartment in March 2010—on four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, with bail set at $250,000 and his next court appearance scheduled for August 7. - ➤ Four people were arrested Wednesday in Kalamazoo on gun charges after KVET and CRT, aided by the Kalamazoo Metro SWAT team, executed a search warrant on the 4100 block of Lakesedge Drive and seized two firearms (one with an extended magazine and one with an obliterated serial number) as a juvenile male suspect exited with a concealed weapon. - ➤ Three people—Lakesha Stacy, Christopher Battle, and Devondre Stacy—are facing charges after they allegedly stabbed a 53-year-old man twice in the back near Gull Road on Tuesday in Kalamazoo, and the victim is in stable condition after being taken to a local hospital. WWMT

- ➤ Kalamazoo is expanding its downtown recycling program with 26 new Bigbelly units this fall to replace 58 older bins—doubling the smart recycling options in the area.
