  • The City of Kalamazoo started installing a new water main on Westnedge Avenue beginning Sunday, limiting Kalamazoo Avenue to two lanes between North Park Street and North Westnedge Avenue until Aug. 1 (city officials said a pedestrian detour is in place).  WWMT

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • At East Leroy Goats and Yoga on a family farm just outside Kalamazoo, participants join goat-assisted yoga classes that blend exercise with the calming presence of friendly goats — the sessions have been offered for seven years to help people relieve stress. Attendee Mary Nowlin described the experience as awkwardly funny yet soothing — a sign that founder Brooke Bronsink's vision to spread comfort through nature is working.  MLive
