Good morning, Kalamazoo.

On May 24th, hundreds of dogs and owners gathered at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center for the West Michigan Apple Blossom Cluster Dog Show—where about 1,500 dogs took part in events such as competitive obedience, dock diving and a timed dash known as fast CAT.

The event featured novice classes and was held in affiliation with the American Kennel Club—providing a competitive platform for both new and seasoned participants.

Over 700 parents signed a petition to save a shared library assistant position at Parkwood-Upjohn and Winchell Elementary—set for cut next school year due to budget cuts and lower enrollment—while school officials say library access will remain unchanged.
