- ➤ Kalamazoo’s Open Roads Bike Program will relocate this summer to a larger facility at 914 E. Vine St in the Edison neighborhood—where it will expand services and programs for local youth. The organization will operate at its current location until May 22 and plans to open the new site in July. MLive

- ➤ Two people died after a single-vehicle crash on Thursday at 7:50 p.m. in the 10000 block of North 32nd Street and Baseline Road in Richland Township—Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office said the driver was taken into custody and the crash remains under investigation. WWMT
- ➤ A man died after a single vehicle crash on East Main near Magnolia in Comstock Township early Friday morning—speed is suspected to have played a factor and an investigation is ongoing. WWMT
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ After a drug investigation, police on Thursday raided a home in the 2200 block of Gull Road and detained a 29-year-old man from the 3600 block of East Main Street — he is now in jail facing multiple felony charges for possessing a stolen, modified fully automatic handgun along with additional firearms, drugs, and cash believed to be drug sale profits. - ➤ A 29-year-old man was arrested on April 17th in Kalamazoo Township after several agencies executed a search warrant at a residence on Gull Road that uncovered drugs, cash and a stolen fully automatic handgun—he had been out on bond for another felony and will face multiple charges. WWMT
- ➤ Two men from Battle Creek were formally charged in connection with the April 12 shooting death of security guard Montine Wiley at a club on East North Street in Kalamazoo—18-year-old Kaiden Tanner Cole faces open murder, felony firearm, and concealed weapon charges while 22-year-old Damonte Christopher Jenkins-Gooden is charged with tampering with evidence—with Cole denied bond and Jenkins-Gooden set at a $10,000 cash bond.
