- ➤ Bike Friendly Kalamazoo & Clark Logic signed an agreement to install a large-scale bicycle mural at 436 West Willard Street, funded by their partnership with the Jim Gilmore Jr. Foundation, and a call for muralists will be issued in April. MLive
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A severe storm damaged homes, trees, and businesses in Otsego and Plainwell Wednesday morning, leaving some residents without power. Cleanup crews began removing debris while school districts closed after damage was surveyed. MLive
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Legendary Kalamazoo Christian girls basketball coach Kelly Allen stepped down after 17 seasons to focus on finishing her master's degree and spending more time with her children. She said she may return to coaching at the seventh, eighth, or JV level later. MLive
- ➤ Kalamazoo Growlers announced a long-term naming rights partnership with Honor Credit Union that renames the stadium Honor Credit Union Stadium and funds upgrades and community events. Opening Day is set for May 25 at 1:05 p.m. against the Traverse City Pit Spitters at Mayor’s Riverfront Park (new concessions, seating). MLive
