- ➤ Volunteers cleaned up litter and invasive plants from Verburg and Mayors' Riverfront parks for the Kalamazoo Riverside Parks Beautification Project, which ran Saturday and Sunday. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ At about 10:58 p.m. Saturday night, officers arrived on East North Street where 200 to 250 people had gathered outside a business and found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest who was pronounced dead at about 11:39 p.m. as several agencies worked together to secure the scene and KDPS asks anyone with information to call its tip line. - ➤ Local leaders and residents are debating a new housing plan after developments on Rose and Wall Streets on April 10 sparked discussions about building more small homes on small lots.
