- ➤ Governor Whitmer declared an energy emergency on Thursday and eased fuel blend rules with Executive Order 2026-4 to lower gas costs; the order suspends a May 1 gasoline requirement in eight counties, benefiting nearly half of Michigan drivers. WWMT
