- ➤ OutFront Kalamazoo closed its downtown office at 340 S. Rose St. on March 27 as it prepares to move to a larger space in the Vine neighborhood. The new office at 1020 S. Westnedge Ave. will open on April 14—programs and services will run at alternate locations until then. MLive
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Kalamazoo is polling Winchell neighborhood residents on replacing temporary roundabouts with traditional intersections after a community vote favored the change—some residents object because the new designs would remove several mature trees. City officials will use the input to guide the final street design decision. MLive
- ➤ MDOT and Hoffman Bros. Inc. will begin expanding M-43/West Main Street between Drake Road and US-131 on Monday in Kalamazoo as part of a $7.8 million project that will repave the road, add a westbound lane, rebuild the Maple Hill Drive intersection, and upgrade storm water drainage and traffic signals. Construction will keep one lane open in each direction for business access and include scheduled two-week ramp closures (dates to be announced). WKZO
