ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A man remained in critical condition while another was stable after a driver crashed into a Speedway gas station on March 20 at about 1 p.m., and Kalamazoo Public Safety responded to the scene to investigate the incident that involved multiple vehicles and a detached gas pump. WWMT
- ➤ A tree crashed through the roof of a Kalamazoo couple's home last weekend and injured Kate Martini when debris fell on her head — city officials are now planning to remove aging silver maples to help prevent similar incidents. MLive
- ➤ An SUV crashed into a gas station on the 3900 block of S. Westnedge Ave on March 19 around 1 p.m., hitting people and vehicles and injuring several, leaving one in critical condition—another is stable. MLive

- ➤ A nonprofit group School Finance Research Foundation released a study that shows Michigan K-12 school buildings need more than $22.8 billion in upgrades to meet basic health, safety and wellness standards—2,534 buildings and 89 facility components were reviewed during a two-year assessment. - ➤ South Burdick Street near downtown Kalamazoo will close for 11 days starting April 2 for utility work — northbound lanes between East Walnut and West Cedar will detour along Walnut to Rose while southbound lanes remain open. MLive
