  • The Kalamazoo Event Center remains on track for a fall 2027 opening despite crews working in cold weather (high winds, snowfall) downtown, as CSM Group adjusts shifts and safety measures to meet the set timeline.  WWMT
  • Wax Wings Brewing Co. and the Kalamazoo Curling Club will host an all-day Olympic-themed celebration, launching the Hammered & Stoned IPA on Saturday, Feb. 7 from noon to 10 p.m. at 3480 Gull Road, where club members will offer live commentary and curling demonstrations using a physical model.  MLive

  • Bee Joyful Shop announced Tuesday that its downtown storefront at 245 S Kalamazoo Mall will close soon as the business shifts to online-only sales & will hold a farewell sale before ending its brick-and-mortar operations that began in 2020.  MLive

HEALTH NEWS

  • A boil water advisory remains in effect for homes along Pinehurst Boulevard due to a water main break repair—officials expect the issue to be resolved and the advisory lifted Friday. Residents should boil tap water for two minutes or use bottled water.  WWMT
