- ➤ Kalamazoo Craft Beverage Week kicks off with Texas Corners Brewing's Dry Friday (6970 Texas Drive) on Jan. 30 and will run through Feb. 7 across 20+ locations, offering 70 events with tastings, food pairings, games, and interactive experiences. - ➤ U.S. Customs and Border Protection will not attend a WMU career fair on Feb. 3 in Kalamazoo after canceling its registration. Two other federal agencies remain scheduled for the event. MLive

- ➤ Construction on the downtown event center is progressing steadily with structural steel in place for sports offices, a concrete deck for practice courts, and a parking deck assembling precast pieces (130 workers are adding interior walls as crews prepare the venue) for Fall 2027 sports, concerts, and community events.
